How to unlock your Sony Ericsson W150i - Using the unlocking codes

What is needed?
To unlock your W150i from it's current network you need an 'unlocking code' that is unique to your mobile.
On correctly entering this code your phone will be unrestricted and allow you to use any mobile network in any country.

There maybe more than one option available to unlock your W150i and on some occasions you may need to enter more than one code.

How to enter the Unlocking Code for a Sony Ericsson Model phone
General Information about your Sony Ericsson unlock code
When you receive your email with your unique Sony Ericsson unlocking codes, you may see there's actually more than one code, as some models require more than one code to unlock them fully.
However, for simplicity, we do aim to send you a single unlock code, which will be your network unlock code (known as the NCK).

Option 1 - Sony Ericsson Models
1. Turn on the phone without SIM Card in it
2. Press the 'left arrow' or joystick left once
3. Press the * (Star) button twice
4. Press the 'left arrow' or joystick left once
5. The phone will display one of either messages saying 'Personalize with MNC2' or 'Personalize with MNC3'
6. Wait approximately 5 seconds.
7. The phone will display 'Network' and a picture of a closed padlock.
8. Press Select.
9. The phone will display 'Unlock (Net) 5' and 'NCK:'
10. You can now enter the Unlock Code provided.
Option 2 - Sony Ericsson Models
1. Turn on the phone without SIM Card in it
2. Press the 'left arrow' or joystick left once
3. Press the * (Star) button twice
4. Press the 'left arrow' or joystick left once
5. The phone will display the message 'Personalize with MNC2'
6. You can now enter the Unlock Code provided.
Note for options 1 & 2
- When doing the first 5 steps above you'll need to do it quite quickly. - If your phone has a joystick 'JOGDIAL' you must press the 'down arrow' instead of the 'left arrow' in steps 2 to 3 above. By 'Down Arrow' we mean move the joystick down

Quick Glossary
NCK = Network lock
SPCK = Service provider corporate lock
SPK = Service provider lock
Code formats you may receive for Sony Ericsson models:
Wherever possible we'll try and send you just a single unlocking code to unlock your Sony Ericsson.
However for certain models we may need to send you more than one code, even if you don't use them all.

Note: The NCK (Network unlocking code) is the main and usually the only one you'll need.
Please note:
- If you see the message 'NCK: (0)' or 'Not Allowed', this means the phone is hard-locked. The phone cannot be unlocked because there has been more than 5 wrong unlock attempts.
- If your Sony Ericsson has a Joystick, then you must press the DOWN Arrow instead of the LEFT Arrow. DOWN Arrow meaning Joystick downwards
